The slogan of Israel’s national carrier is “at home away from home.” But what if your home is also the home of an ultra-Orthodox man, who refuses to be seated next to a woman?

Elana Sztokman, a religious feminist, tells us about being repeatedly harassed on board El Al flights.

Sharon Shapiro, who launched a petition that has already garnered thousands of signatures, explains what she expects the airline management to do.

This is a segment from So Much to Say: Listen to the full show.

Looking beyond Jerusalem and Ramallah

Relgious extremists are selfish, backward and unGodly. If they can’t manage to fit into society, they shouldn’t subject others to their Neanderthal ways. They have no regard or respect of others. I’ve been to Israel many times visiting family. Israelis are fed up too. They
Create political chaos, social chaos and anti semitism even among Jews.i stopped flying El Al and would never subject my wife or daughter to these cavemen on the only airline who wouldn’t remove these hulligans.
